a) c1885 - Letter sent to customers advising them of Charles Lancaster & Company's latest inventions to help improve game shooting success.
b) 14 August 1894 - Letter from WJ Jeffery addressed to C Lancaster, Esq regarding 13 Hammer Guns and 23 Hammerless Guns and Rifles bearing the name of A. Lancaster. (Alfred Lancaster died in 1890 when HAA Thorn purchased his firm from Alfred Lancaster's widow).
c) 1895 - Complete Specification for Patent No 23,367 granted to Henry Alfred Alexander Thorn, trading as Charles Lancaster, and William Bodin in respect of Improvements in Drop Down Guns or Small Arms. (The printed specifications cost 8d from HMSO).
d) 8 July 1903 - Postcard from the General Patent Office addressed to HAA Thorn, Esq., Charles Lancaster Esq., 151 New Bond Street, W. This postcard bears a franked Edward VII ha'penny postage stamp coloured green.
