THE SERVICE REVOLVER AND HOW TO USE IT, This WWI pocket book, once belonged to Robert Churchill. It has 128 pages and measures 6 1/2 in x 4 in. It was given to Robert Churchill on 3 November 1922 by the author, Captain CD Tracy of The King's Own Royal Lancaster Regt and The School of Musketry, Bisley, with an inscription on front page. At the time of publication, the book cost 3 shillings (3/-). Chapter Five deals with "STANCE" or Position of Feet, which was of particular interest to Robert Churchill when he was writing his first book. The Webley pistol (introduced in 1890) is evaluated and p107-108 has illustrations of the component parts. The skill of firing from horse-back is covered in the final chapter.
