circa 1910, with 2 1/2in. ovoid barrel, the top-flat and right hand side of barrel signed 'L.W. LAIRD & CO, 6 BISHOPSGATE ST. WITHOUT, LONDON E.C.', engraved band at muzzle, sighting groove to top-strap, the top-strap marked 'THE BRITISH BULLDOG' with scroll engraving to the corners, border-line and scroll engraving to the solid frame, the left hand side marked 'WEBLEY No2 450CF' in an oval above the 'winged bullet' trademark, scroll engraved fluted cylinder, chequered walnut birdshead grips, scroll engraved back-strap and trigger-guard bow, the whole stripped of finish and brushed bright
