circa 1864, with blued octagonal 6 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat and strap signed 'DICKSON & SON, 63 PRINCES ST.T, EDINBURGH', engraved band to the radiused muzzle, borderline and scroll engraving to the solid frame, plain cylinder with engraved band to the front edge, spurless hammer, one-piece chequered walnut grip with engraved iron butt-cap, no provision for rammer, the whole retaining much original finish throughout, COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers brass-cornered mahogany storage case, compartmented and lined in blue velvet and containing a scissors ball-mould, a mahogany loading rod a 'JAMES DIXON' three-way revolver-flask and an oil bottle (lining dirty, one compartment lid and lock escutcheon missing)
