A 12.7x44 (SWEDISH) SINGLE-SHOT SERVICE RIFLE, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'ROLLING-BLOCK', serial no. 1402,
dated for 1871 and a licenced copy of the similar product by Remington, with 37 1/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, plain receiver with rolling breech-block and central hammer, walnut straight-hand butt-stock stamped '25RB' over 'No468' at heel (small chip at head), iron heel-plate, walnut three-quarter fore-end with three iron barrel-bands, iron clearing rod and bayonet bar and lug to right-hand side of muzzle
