AN 11mm (FRENCH ORDNANCE) SIX-SHOT SERVICE REVOLVER, MODEL 'M1873', serial no. H19634,
dated for 1904, with two-stage 4 1/2in. barrel, the top flat with model designation, dove-tailed block and blade fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, plain stepped cylinder, plain frame with removable sideplate, loading gate to right hand side of frame, double-action trigger, spurred hammer and chequered two-piece walnut grips, the whole 'in the white' (possibly original) with some mild staining and traces of straw colour to the ancilliaries
