LONDON.' in gothic script, the breech end with bold scroll engraving and gold-inlaid '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, right wall thickness below recommended minimum, some pitting, treble-grip action incorporating J. Rigby and T. Bissell patent rising third bite, patent no. 1141 of 1879, use number 710, carved leaf fences, slender toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, dipped-edge lockplates, best bold border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 3/4in. well-figured stock including horn buttplate, small repaired crack to right of safety, fore-end with Rigby patent grip catch release lever and ejector / non-ejector selector nut, weight 6lb. 10oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
