30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels, the tubes engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 7. BURY STREET. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON.' and the rib engraved with a flash of scroll at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true and imp. cyl., automatic safety with inlaid enamelled 'SAFE' detail, beaded border and acanthus scroll engraving, the underside engraved 'PATENT BLOCK SAFETY', brushed bright, 15in. stock (cracked at toe with pinned repair), weight 6lb. 12oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed with 30in. barrels in 1893 for Dr. R.A. Murray.
