circa 1830, with hand-rotated triangular barrel-group, full iron nipple-shield with engraved rope-edge border, border and scroll engraved rounded boxlock action signed 'NUNN, HERTFORD' in a panel on the left hand side, dolphin carved single-action central hammer, sliding safe to the top-tang, finely chequered walnut butt, swollen pommel with gadrooned border, scroll engraved iron grip-cap and concealed folding automatic trigger
