circa 1830, with blued frozen turn-off 1 5/8in. barrel, engraved acanthus-leaf band around muzzle, squared all-brass border and scroll engraved action signed 'NOCK' on the left hand side and 'LONDON' on the right, carved nipple-tray with hinged cap-guard and false 'frizzen', central hammer with sliding safe to the top-tang, finely chequered walnut bag-shaped butt with clipped-corner rectangular silver escutcheon to the wrist and cast silver lion-mask butt-cap, concealed folding automatic trigger.
