circa 1850, with turn-off 2 1/2in. barrels, starred muzzles with false rifling and engraved bands, scroll engraved breech and action-body, the left hand side signed 'W.EGAN, the right 'BRADFORD', iron nipple-guard, dolphin-headed central hammer, sliding safe to the top-tang, finely chequered walnut bag-shaped butt with silver oval escutcheon to wrist, concealed folding automatic trigger, the whole brushed bright
