30in. black powder only fine damascus barrels, rib engraving indistinct, bearing number '2', bored approx. true. cyl. choke, (some heavy pitting, dents and rivelling, left wall below recommended minimum), action incorporating Daw patent underlever centre fire action, patent no. 1594 of 27th May 1862 (improved on licensed Schneider patent 1487 of 11th June 1861), carved serpentine fences, rebounding back-action locks, bold acanthus scroll engraving (worn), topstrap damaged, triggerguard dented and with later additional screws, 14 3/8in. stock including steel buttplate, fore-end with one crosspin housing broken, weight 6lb. 11oz.
