circa 1860, with re-browned slightly shortened 30in. twist barrels by another, the top-rib faintly signed 'LONDON', bead fore-sight, gold line at breech, long scroll engraved top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved back-action locks signed 'JNO. JONES, CHESTER, walnut straight-hand half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture, white-metal take-down wedge escutcheons and ramrod throat, replacement wooden ramrod TOGETHER WITH a Jones of Chester leather covered storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize, parchment trade label to inside of lid and containing a 'SYKES PATENT' powder flask
