only produced between 1946 and 1947, with stepped 4 1/4in. rifled barrel, blade fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, plain air-chamber stamped 'TARG-AIRE PISTOL CO CHICAGO ILL.', knurled end-cap, scarce cast aluminium grips with thumb-rest for the right-handed shooter and embossed with 'TARG-AIRE' around the central grip-screw, blued cocking-lever concealed along the back-strap and under-barrel release catch, minimal traces of original finish, some mild pitting
