circa 1880, with tapering rotate-to-load barrel (London proofs), the sighting flat signed 'COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA' and 'No2', nickel crescent fore-sight, iron frame in the white (light staining) with blued central hammer, floral loose scroll engraving and rosewood chequered birdshead grips, blued sheath trigger with chequered blade
