for 1892, with blued 22 7/8in. half-round, half octagonal barrel, the top signed 'MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO, NEW HAVEN CONN', dove-tailed fore-sight with nickel-silver blade, extra-long buckhorn rear-sight, colour-hardened receiver (faded), the top-tang drilled for peep-sight, the tapped holes with keeper screws, stamped with model designation, highly figured chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, ebony inlay at grip-pommel, iron 'shotgun' butt-plate, curved finger-loop to underlever, highly figured chequered walnut fore-end, blued nose-cap and full length under-barrel magazine, the whole with much original finish
