for 1888, with round 22in. barrel (missing sights) marked with the Colt address and patent dates to February 22 1887, slab-sided receiver with sliding bolt and central hammer (distressed, missing minor parts), saddle-ring mounted to left hand side, walnut straight hand butt-stock (bruised and scratched), iron carbine-type heel-plate, missing the wood from the pump-handle and the magazine internals, the whole mostly stripped of finish
