28in. nitro barrels scroll engraved at the breech ends, rib engraved 'W.W. GREENER. MAKER. 29, PALL MALL. LONDON. S.W. WORKS ST. MARY'S SQUARE. BIRMINGHAM.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, treble-grip action, manual side safety, triggers set for the left hand, ropework border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15in. cast-on stock including 3/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a lightweight leather case with large nickel plated oil bottle engraved 'W.W. GREENER LTD. GUNMAKERS.'
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed with 28in. barrels in October 1924 and sold through their London premises at a price of 35 guineas.
