A .650 (REGULATION) PERCUSSION CARBINE SIGNED TOWER, MODEL 'MILITARY ISSUED CONSTABULARY PATTERN', no visible serial number,
dated for 1856, with smooth-bore, round, 27in. barrel, block fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, borderline engraved military style lock with ordnance stamps and signed 'TOWER 1856' with a crown over 'V.R.' to the tail, plain walnut three-quarter stock, brass furniture, the heel-plate spur stamped 'V' over 'K13' over '16', the fore-end cap fitted with a 'Lovell's patent,' bayonet catch and replacement iron under-barrel ramrod
