LONDON. 2 PIECE EJECTOR' and engraved with a flash of scrollwork at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, Lancaster patent assisted opening action, automatic safety with blue enamelled 'SAFE' detail, dipped edge lockplates, spring cramp adjusting screws and engraved 'MAIN SPRING CRAMP', Lancaster patent single trigger, acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerplate engraved 'C.L. SINGLE TRIGGER', 14in. figured replacement stock, weight 6lb. 11oz.
Provenance: This Lot is accompanied by a small dossier of paperwork pertaining to the gun. This includes a copy of the original entry in the ledger showing that the gun was completed circa 1909. The original owner's name is indistinct but appears to read as 'Moreland'.
