30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'JOHN RIGBY & CO. DUBLIN & LONDON.' in gothic script, the breech end engraved with acanthus scrollwork, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, treble-grip action incorporating J. Rigby and T. Bissell patent rising third bite, patent no. 1141 of 1879, use number 389, carved leaf fences, slender toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, dipped-edge lockplates, border and acanthus scroll engraving, 14 1/2in. figured stock including buttplate, weight 6lb.
