A .32 (S&W) NICKEL-PLATED FIVE-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL '1 1/2', serial no. 49540,
circa 1880, with round 3 1/2in. barrel, raised sighting rib with blade fore-sight and stamped with patents to 1877, rear-sight notch on the top-strap locking catch, fluted cylinder, plain break-open hinged frame, chequered hard-rubber birdshead grips embossed with the 'S&W' trademark, sheath trigger, the whole retaining nearly all its original nickel-plated finish
