A .442 (BOXER) NICKEL-PLATED AND ENGRAVED SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'WEBLEY'S RIC No1', serial no. 5790,
circa 1868, with ovoid 5in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, small crescent fore-sight, the border and scroll engraved top-strap signed 'T. MILLER, SUNDERLAND' either side of the sighting groove, plain cylinder with rope border engraving to the leading edge and a further engraved band behind the front locking notches, border and scroll engraved frame marked 'WEBLEY'S PATENT', smooth ivory grip (chipped at thumb-web), border and scroll engraved butt-cap with lanyard ring, scroll engraved trigger guard bow and centrally mounted swing-out ejector-rod (plating flaking in places with some loss)
