for 1903, with blued 6in. barrel, blued, sighted slide with chequered forward grip-panels and marked on the right hand side 'AUTOMATIC COLT' over 'CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS' together with 'MODEL 1902', the left hand side marked 'BROWNING'S PATENT PAT'D APR 20. 1897, SEPT 9. 1902' together with the makers details and address, plain blued frame, colour-hardened hammer chequered hard-rubber grips embossed 'COLT' together with the Colt trademark, lanyard loop to heel, blued trigger, the whole with a good amount of original faded finish remaining
