for 1874, with round 7 1/2in. barrel signed 'COLT'S PT F A MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA', nickel blade fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, fluted cylinder, plain frame with front mounted cylinder retaining screw and two line patent details, iron trigger-guard and grip-straps, the heel amateurly engraved 'J. QUINLAN', walnut one-piece grip and under-barrel spring-loaded ejector rod with 'bullseye' thumb-piece, refinished and rubbed throughout
