circa 1795, with round 36in. barrel of best English manufacture, silver bead fore-sight, gold oval poincon inlet at breech (illegible), the breech end engraved with a steeple and starburst, gold lined touch-hole and band, the top-tang engraved with a martial trophy and scrolls, slightly curved borderline engraved bevel-edged lockplate signed 'H. NOCK', rainproof pan, roller-bearing to the frizzen-spring, walnut half-stock with finely chequered wrist, iron furniture including broad heel-plate with long top-spur, double roll-edged trigger-guard, pineapple finial, and under-barrel rib, missing ramrod
