for 1888, with round tapering 4 1/2in. barrel, the top signed 'COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA', blued crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, fluted cylinder, plain frame with loading gate to the right hand side, chequered hard-rubber birdshead grip with the Colt trademark and guarded trigger, much original blued finish, the action colour stained, COMPLETE WITH its probable original English market oak storage case, indented corner parchment trade-label with the Depot 14 Pall Mall address, compartmented and lined in green baize, complete with a case key and provision for ammunition
