for 1903, with blued tapering 5 1/2in. barrel, tapering block fore-sight, elevating rear-sight graduated to 1000m, large ring hammer, milled receiver with the 'Oberndorf a Neckar' address and inscribed on the left-hand side 'W.L. EWING, 2nd H.L.I.', first model safety-catch, 23-groove walnut bag-shaped grips, provision for lanyard ring at heel (missing), good amount of stained finish remaining COMPLETE WITH its matching number holster-stock (repaired split), the left hand side amateurly inscribed 'G.pl.s.r.s' and '1.11.14', the right hand side with some further but erased lettering
