for 1862, with 6in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK US AMERICA' surrounded by an engraved border with an arabesque terminal, engraved band at muzzle, open American scroll engraving to the breech-flats and top-side-flats extending fo approximately half the barrel-length, plain cylinder with roll-engraved 'stagecoach hold-up' scene, open iron frame with full American scroll covering, scroll engraving to the sides of the hammer, engraved brass grip-straps and trigger-guard (traces of silver-plating), one-piece smooth ivory grip and articulated under-barrel rammer with scroll-engraved hinge COMPLETE WITH an English market oak storage case of the correct type for this revolver, compartmented and lined in blue baize, parchment instruction label to inside of lid and containing an English bag-shaped powder flask, an unsigned oil-bottle, and an 'L' shaped nipple-key ,
