for 1887, with 5 1/2in. barrel signed 'COLT'S PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA DEPOT 14 PALL MALL LONDON', blade fore-sight, narrowed sighting channel to the top-strap, plain frame with loading gate, chequered hard-rubber birdshead grips embossed with the Colt trademark, lanyard ring at heel, front of trigger guard bow marked '.45 CAL', spring loaded under-barrel ejector rod, the whole retaining a good amount of its original nickel plate TOGETHER WITH an English market oak storage case, compartmented and lined in blue baize and containing a glass oil bottle, turn-screw, cleaning rod, the original case key and fitted with provision for 30 rounds of ammunition
