A 28-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1770, with round, slightly swamped 9in. barrel, the top near breech signed 'LONDON' (feint, rubbed), silver bead fore-sight with a star surround, hooked breech with border engraved top-tang, bevel-edged borderline engraved lock signed 'BARBER', sliding safe behind the hammer, roller bearing to the frizzen-foot, walnut full-stock with swollen pommel to butt, long-eared iron butt-cap (cleaned), iron trigger-guard bow with acorn finial, two side-nails with iron cups, twin take-down wedges without escutcheons, horn tipped mahogany ramrod (some pitting to iron surfaces)
