for 1863, with round 8in. barrel, the top signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, stepped cylinder with traces of a naval engagement scene, open frame, spurred hammer, iron back-strap, smooth walnut one-piece grip, brass trigger-guard and iron under-barrel rammer, the whole with much original nickel-plated finish (some frosting throughout)
