circa 1880, with blued tapering rotate-to-load barrel (London proofs), the sighting flat signed 'COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA' and 'No2', nickel crescent fore-sight, iron frame (some staining) with blued central hammer, floral loose scroll engraving, rosewood chequered birdshead grips and blued sheath trigger with chequered blade, fair traces of original finish
