RIFLEMAKERS' and '500 JEFFERY CAL.' in gold, matt scroll engraved ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with flip-over tunnel-cover, matt quarter-rib with single standing leaf marked '50 YDS' and with gold-inlaid centre-line, blacked Mauser double-square bridge receiver engraved with scrollwork, 14 3/8in. well figured pistolgrip stock including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, raised cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, ebony fore-end cap, magazine floor-plate engraved with scrollwork and chiselled in low relief with a vignette of a male elephant in a wooded landscape, sling mounts, in its brass-cornered oak-lined leather full length rifle case lined in dark green baize.
