AN INDIAN PATA GAUNTLET-SWORD,
circa 1700, with double-edged 39in. multi-fullered blade of European origin fixed to the gauntlet iron guard by riveted panels extending down the blade for approximately 7in, loose iron cross-grip and hinged wrist-brace, the outside of guard engraved with panels depicting wild animals with ball-engraved borders (cleaned and worn, old plated working repair at knuckle)
