Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that the No.1 gun was completed in 1901 for B. Hatton-Croft and that he commissioned the No.2 gun to match in 1904. They re-stocked the No.2 gun in 1970 and built new barrels for it in 1974.

The original owner then gave them as a gift to Michael Hughes-Hallett in the late 1950s, and they have passed from there, by descent, to the vendor.
