28in. sleeved nitro barrels with tapered raised matt rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety, action engraved with floral and scroll motifs the decorative sideplates carved in high relief with hunting scenes, the left depicting Diana, Goddess of hunting, with hound and a stricken red stag, her crescent moon highlighted in gold, on the right St. Hubertus, flanked by hunting hounds, crossbow in hand, kneeling in supplication to the Hubertus hirsch, the crucifix highlighted in gold, the underside with scrolling banners engraved 'FRANC SODIA FERLACH AUSTRIA', 15 1/4in. stock including 3/4in. wooden extension, minor setting cracks to rear of sideplates, fore-end with some movement, weight 6lb. 11oz.
