A .455/.476 SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION SERVICE REVOLVER, MODEL 'WG ARMY', serial no. 18907,
for 1902, with 6in. barrel, the left hand side engraved 'SPENCER R.S. RICHARDS, R.N.', nickel blade fore-sight, fluted cylinder, break-open frame with automatic ejection, finely chequered walnut flared grips, lanyard ring to heel, traces of finish with some surface corrosion and mild pitting

Provenance: Lt. Commander Spencer R.S. Richards was a serving Royal Navy officer during World War One. Gazette Issue 30654 was for the Greek Order of the Redeemer, Officer class. The gazette entry reads 'His Majesty the King of the Hellenes has conferred the Decoration of the Order of the Redeemer, Officer, for distinguished services rendered during the war. The Decoration has been conferred by the Allied Powers on Officers and Men of the British Naval Forces. His Majesty the King has given unrestricted permission to wear the Decoration in question'.
