circa 1805, with round 9in. sightless barrel, Indian arsenal numbers, carved band at the breech, London proofs, solid rounded top-tang slightly curved and radiused lock stamped with the East India Company lion trade mark, walnut full-stock, flat-based brass grip-cap with central iron lanyard ring, brass trigger-guard bow and side-plate, the plate stamped 'B16', brass nose-cap and captive iron stirrup ramrod with spring retainer TOGETHER WITH a receipt dated 20th December 1979 showing the then purchase price of the pistol for £198
