circa 1785, with slightly swamped 7in. barrel, flat sighting plane signed 'LONDON', brass dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the solid border and florally engraved top-tang, slightly curved step-tailed plain lock signed 'TATHAM', borderline engraved hammer, walnut full-stock, bag-shaped butt with flats to the sides, brass trigger-guard bow, tang and pineapple finial, brass ramrod pipes and probable replacement ramrod TOGETHER WITH a receipt dated 17th Jan 1979 showing its then purchase price of £385
