Continental circa 1760, with 8in. swamped iron barrel, carved sighting rib narrowing towards the crescent fore-sight, solid borderline engraved pointed top-tang, plain stepped tail lockplate with engraved borderline detail, signed 'ASEDAN' forwards of the hammer, lozenge-shaped pan, walnut full-stock (fore-end broken but wood pieces present, front thimble missing), swollen pommel to butt, iron long-spurred grip-cap, moulded trigger-guard straps with bevelled edges, vase finial, iron ramrod throat and possible original ramrod
