circa1810, with plain round 1 3/4in. turn-off barrels, squared boxlock action signed 'WHITNEY' on the left hand side and engraved with a martial trophy on the right, central hammers with sliding safes to the top-tangs, rainproof pans, slab-sided walnut butts, concealed triggers TOGETHER WITH a later wood box, compartmented and lined with green baize to hold the pistols and some small accessories
