circa 1800, with round 9in. barrel, tower proofs, slightly radiused borderline engraved lock, the pointed tail signed 'D. EGG', marked with a crown over 'G.R.' cypher forwards of the hammer, dark walnut full-stock with a carved skirt around the top-tang, brass furniture including a short-eared heavy butt-cap, trigger-guard bow and tang, a serpentine side-plate and ramrod thimble, later ramrod, the whole cleaned with some frosting to the iron surfaces
