AN UNUSUAL AND RARE 7mm (CANE) PNEUMATICALLY OPERATED WALKING-STICK GUN, no visible serial number,
possibly French or Belgian, circa 1880, with smooth-bore 22 1/2in. barrel, twist and pull breech-action, brass mushroom-shaped pommel unscrewing to reveal a mouth-piece with rubber doughnut-shaped seal, the action of placing mouth on the seal and expelling air from the lungs operating the firing mechanism, the outer surface formed from natural bamboo, approximately 34in. overall length
