Italian, circa 1845, with round, tapering 13 1/4in. barrel, octagonal breech-section, boat-shaped fore-sight, solid rounded top-tang, plain lockplate with rounded tail, plain hammer, dark hardwood half-stock, heavy brass rounded butt-cap stamped with a 'J' within a circle, '209' and '1839', brass trigger-guard and tang, iron belt-hook to left hand side, iron barrel-band and iron under-barrel ramrod, iron surfaces brushed bright, TOGETHER WITH a receipt, undated but circa 1980 for the purchase of the pistol at the then price of £175
