A SCARCE .600 FLINTLOCK SINGLE-SHOT SERVICE-PISTOL, MODEL '1763 GENDARMERIE', no visible serial number,
French, circa 1765, with tapering iron 5in. barrel, solid rounded top-tang, flat, slightly curved plain bevel-edged lockplate with radiused tail, brass pan, walnut full-stock (distressed) with iron furniture including heavy pommel-cap and twin banded nose-cap, replacement iron ramrod, (some dark staining to iron parts, most screws replaced)
