circa 1860, with triple-staged twist-iron 26 1/2in, barrel banded at the intersection, bead fore-sight, patent squared breech with white-metal plug, top of breech engraved with scrolls, fully scroll engraved top-tang, scroll engraved bar-action lock with a panel engraved with a running dog, signed 'CHAS. OSBORNE' forwards of the hammer, scroll engraved hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron heel-plate, the long top-spur engraved with scrolls, iron trigger-guard bow, pillar finial, fore-end with horn tip and original ebony ramrod
