COGSWELL, 224 STRAND LONDON', dove-tailed white-metal fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights, engraved band at muzzles, scroll engraved breech-blocks with carved snails and platinum plugs, squared receivers with radiused edges, extended side-plates with spring-steel belt hooks and scroll engraving, curved borderline and scroll engraved back-action locks, scroll engraved blued hammers with sliding safes behind, scroll engraved top-tangs, chequered walnut butts with iron grip-caps and concealed cap-boxes, scroll engraved trigger-guard bows, applied under-barrel full-length ribs with captive iron ramrods swivelling on engraved stirrups, TOGETHER WITH their manufacturers oak storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize and including a period flask, cleaning rod, cap-tin, nipple-pot and nipple-key, the lid with indented parchment Cogswell trade label
