circa 1855, with heavy twist iron Belgian proved 31in. barrels, the top rib signed 'A. WURFFLEIN, PHILADA', bead fore-sight, engraved bands and scroll-work at breech together with two gold lines, borderline and scroll engraved top-tang, flat border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'A. WURFFLEIN' on the right and 'PHILADA' on the left, scroll engraved hammers, figured chequered walnut half-stock with carved borders (escutcheon missing from wrist), iron heel-plate, trigger-guard and original mahogany ramrod, iron surfaces darkly stained
