28in. replacement nitro barrels, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, automatic safety, Perkes No.2 patent hammerless action, patent no. 1968 of 1878, Scott patent gas check system, patent no. 617 of 1882, use number 5329, action flats with studs (not operating, one retaining screw missing), fine scroll engraving, brushed bright and blued finish, 16in. stock including 1 3/4in. wooden extension, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release catch and replacement wood, weight 6lb. 11oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed with 30in. damascus barrels in November 1892 for 'Kitson'.
